Unlike most monasteries throughout the Himalayas, which are run by Buddhist monks, this monastery in the village of Pishu is run by Buddhist nuns. In fact, there were no monks at all residing there. This devout woman shared many explanations to the rituals taking place through demonstrations reminiscent of charades.
